Content

16. Content

Content — Hermes as a content production machine. This is a clearly different area from chapter 17 (Business): if Business is “tidying up internal work”, then Content is “producing things that face outward” — articles, newsletters, social posts, images, audio. The common thread throughout: Hermes has no single “content tool” — it assembles content production from web search, image generation, TTS, and writing skills — all callable within the same conversation, so the final product is always grounded in data actually collected, not generic templates.

The foundation tools for the whole of chapter 16

Four core capabilities cover most content needs, packaged through the Tool Gateway of Nous Portal (one subscription, no need to juggle several separate API keys): web search (Firecrawl), image generation (FAL — 11 models such as FLUX 2, GPT-Image, Nano Banana Pro…), text-to-speech (OpenAI via the gateway, or 10 other TTS providers if you configure them yourself), and a cloud browser for deep research.

From here, 16.1–16.6 go through each concrete stage of a content production workflow: finding ideas, writing, packaging into a newsletter, posting to social networks, illustrating with images, and rendering as speech.
